My journey began when my dad handed me an electric guitar and amp at 12. By 14, I had a four-track recorder and drum machine, already exploring the power of amplification and recording — tools I still keep today. Those early experiments became a lifelong exploration of sound.

In the ’90s I signed to EMI and worked at Rocking Horse Studios in Byron Bay, honing my craft as an engineer and producer. Returning to Perth in 2000, I helped build Loop Studios, one of Australia’s finest recording spaces, and continued producing music across genres. By 2003 I was teaching at WAAPA, later joining SAE as a lecturer in audio production, guiding the next generation of creators.

Producing is more than capturing a song — it’s about unlocking the emotional core that makes it resonate. I work closely with artists to shape their vision, from raw songwriting through to full production, layering, mixing, and arrangement.

With access to world-class studios, microphones, and instruments, every project is both a technical craft and a collaborative journey. My role is to create a calm space where ideas flow, so the finished track carries both clarity and heart.

Each session is both deeply personal and universally human — a chance to listen, feel, and reconnect.

For more than 20 years I’ve taught music production, sound design, and composition at WAAPA and SAE Creative Media Institute, mentoring thousands of students internationally. My teaching is built on trust and curiosity — empowering students to discover their creative voice while mastering professional craft. Education, for me, is about passing on not just knowledge, but confidence and possibility.

NewTechnology – AI, Metaverse & Blockchain

The future of sound isn’t limited to studios or stages. I’ve presented internationally on music NFTs and the Metaverse, exploring how digital assets and immersive technologies transform music, art, and community. My work bridges tradition with innovation: Web3 community building, blockchain-based creativity, and AI-assisted art and composition — all pointing toward new ways of experiencing and sharing sound.
